The defendant, Larry Joseph Martin (AKA Larry Jones), was charged by bill of information with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62.2. After a trial by jury, the defendant was found guilty as charged and sentenced by the trial court to serve ten years at hard labor with three years of the sentence to be served without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
