Ordered that the judgment is reversed, on the law and as a matter of discretion in the interest of justice, and a new trial is ordered.

We find that the Assistant District Attorney's cross-examination of the defendant and her remarks during summation exceeded the bounds of proper advocacy and as a result, deprived the defendant of his right to a fair trial.
