FERREN, Associate Judge:

According to the government's evidence, appellant and another man, both of whom were carrying guns, ordered three other men into an alley and robbed them. Bystanders flagged down a police car, which drove into the alley. Appellant ran, followed by a police officer. The two exchanged gunshots, but neither was hit. Appellant soon was captured. A jury found appellant guilty of one count of armed robbery, D.C.Code §§ 22-2901, -3202 ...
