Appellee concludes as a matter of law that "the appellant does not have a severe impairment and, therefore, cannot be found disabled as defined in 20 CFR 404 and 20 CFR 416." The term "severe impairment" refers to an impairment which significantly limits physical or mental abilities to do basic work activities. See generally 20 C.F.R. §§ 416.920 and 416.1002 (1987).
