This is an appeal from an order of the district court for Dodge County affirming a judgment entered by the county court.

Appellant, Randall J. Stodola, was a patient at the Hastings Regional Center from February 14 to March 7, 1983. Neb.Rev. Stat. § 83-364 (Reissue 1987) provides, in part, that "[w]hen any person is admitted to a state institution ... the patient and his relatives shall be liable for the cost of the care, support, maintenance...
