Defendant Arthur Anagnos was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and of conspiracy to distribute, 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and 846, but after verdict and before sentencing he jumped bail and fled the state. Ultimately apprehended, he was sentenced for the original offenses. Prior to sentencing he had been indicted...
