Plaintiffs are husband and wife who hired defendants to make certain commodities investments on behalf of plaintiffs. Plaintiffs are residents of Ohio. Defendants are Murlas Commodities, a Chicago-based trading company, and Howard Farber, an employee of Murlas who operated from Southfield, Michigan at the time the events leading to this suit arose.
