This case involves claims for Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits filed by a number of individuals under policies issued to them by two now insolvent insurance companies. Minimum benefits of $2,500 for PIP coverage are required in every policy of motor vehicle liability insurance issued in Maryland.
