FACTS

Plaintiff, Ray Merritt, is a thirty-four-year-old male with a tenth grade education who was injured in the course and scope of his employment with Crown Zellerbach Corporation. On March 2, 1982, while doing some control burning of timberland, plaintiff received flesh burns to his left arm when some discarded aerosol cans exploded.
