The parties, Liz and Bill Wagner, were married in 1977 and are the parents of one minor child. During the second half of their marriage Liz provided the majority of the family's income by working full-time as a nurse while Bill attended medical school. They separated in February 1985 and Liz filed for dissolution the next month, two months before Bill finished medical school.
