JUSTICE EGAN delivered the opinion of the court:

A jury convicted both defendants on five counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated battery. Each defendant was sentenced to five years' imprisonment on the aggravated battery count. Lacey Clanton was sentenced to 11 years' and Ernest Monroe to 16 years' imprisonment on each of the armed robbery counts. All sentences were to be served...
