PATTERSON, Judge.

Appellant, Carlton Calhoun, was convicted, after a jury trial, of the offense of robbery in the first degree, as proscribed by § 13A-8-41, Code of Alabama 1975. He was sentenced, as a habitual offender with seven prior felony convictions, to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
