The defendant, Michael Jordan Hahn, was arrested on August 8, 1986 following the shooting death of his wife in the South Central Bell parking lot in Shreveport, Louisiana. The defendant was indicted for second degree murder with a firearm. He pled not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. After a bench trial, the defendant was convicted of manslaughter committed with a firearm. He was sentenced to twenty-one years at hard labor for manslaughter...
