Plaintiff Stanley P.J. Mays1 brings this action against the New York City Police Department for alleged violations of Title VII, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e to 2000e-17 (1982). Plaintiff alleges that defendant terminated him from his position as a probationary police officer because of his race.
