The main issue in this divorce proceeding is whether the father [plaintiff] or mother [defendant] of the three minor children of the marriage—two boys, ages 8 and 10 at the time of the trial court order and one girl, age 3 at that time—will be awarded custody.1 The trial court awarded custody to the plaintiff with liberal visitation to the defendant.
