LEISURE, District Judge:

Plaintiff George Eng ("Eng") seeks monetary damages pursuant to the Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, for an alleged deprivation of his rights under the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution. Plaintiff claims that, while an inmate in the Special Housing Unit ("SHU") of the Green Haven Correctional Facility ("Green Haven"), he was assaulted on four separate occasions
