Defendant, Larry Mathews Lewis, a/k/a Larry Lewis Mathews, was charged in a bill of information with simple burglary, in violation of La.R.S. 14:62. He pled not guilty, was tried by a jury, and found guilty of attempted simple burglary. He was sentenced to serve six years at hard labor, with credit for time served. This appeal followed.
