The court of appeals reversed the defendant's conviction in the circuit court for Milwaukee county, Ralph Gorenstein, circuit judge. The jury had found the defendant guilty of one count of first-degree sexual assault, contrary to sec. 940.225(1)(d), Stats. 1985-86 (sexual intercourse with a person twelve years of age or younger).
