In 1974, plaintiffs purchased forty-four acres of undeveloped land in Section 3, Forest Township, Cheboygan County. Before purchasing the property, plaintiffs obtained an abstract and had it updated and certified by defendant Burton Abstract and Title Company. They then obtained two title opinions.
