The defendant, Clinton Milner, was charged in an information with having murdered twentythree year old Susan Kennedy on August 4, 1984, in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a.1 On October 19, 1985, a jury found the defendant guilty as charged and he was sentenced by the trial court to a term of life imprisonment.
