The defendants, Kenneth C. Black and Ricky L. Lyons, were charged by bill of information with the crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, with intent to distribute, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966. Pursuant to plea negotiations, the defendants pled guilty to attempted possession of a controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, with intent to distribute. Each defendant received a sentence of three years at hard labor...
