Cohen was convicted on one count of assault with intent to commit first-degree sexual assault in violation of G.L. 1956 (1981 Reenactment) § 11-37-8 and one count of second-degree sexual assault in violation of § 11-37-4, as amended by P.L. 1984, ch. 59, § 1.
