There are two issues presented in this medical malpractice case. First, we hold that the trial court improperly admitted hearsay testimony concerning an ultimate issue, thus rendering the verdict unreliable. We therefore remand for a new trial. Second, in an action to nullify a Health Claims Arbitration Panel's decision, the award is presented to the jury, but an explanatory opinion is not admissible.
