Following a jury trial, defendant, Gregory McCoy, was found guilty of tampering with a witness by attempting to induce him to testify falsely, in violation of Neb.Rev. Stat. § 28-919 (Reissue 1985), and was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of not less than 18 months nor more than 2 years.
