RULON, J.:

Ralph and Esther Hale (defendants) appeal from the district court's grant of summary judgment to St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Inc., (plaintiff) on defendants' counter-claim alleging negligence. Finding no error, we affirm.

The issue on appeal is whether the district court erred in dismissing the defendants' counterclaim because expert testimony was necessary to establish the hospital's standard of care, deviation from that standard of care...
