On April 2, 1987 the defendant, Jessie Larry Willis, was convicted of aggravated burglary and aggravated battery, violations of La.R.S. 14:34 and La.R.S. 14:60. On June 24, 1987 the trial judge granted defendant's motion to quash the aggravated battery verdict.
