Four armed male blacks, one of whom was defendant, robbed Ms. Stephanie Wyche and Mr. Carlos Escudero at 365 East 184th Street at about 11:20 to 11:30 P.M. on December 2, 1984. At about 11:25 P.M., three police officers, on anticrime patrol in an unmarked car, received a radio report of a robbery in progress at that address.
