This action stems from a March, 1981, vehicular accident. An automobile driven by the plaintiff, Thomas Baldwin,3 collided with a tractor-trailer rig owned by one Donald Valenti.4 The 1975 Peterbilt tractor was insured by the defendant, Peerless Insurance Company (Peerless).
