The defendant, Jerome Monteeth, was charged in a substitute information with one count of first degree robbery in violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (4),1 and one count of criminal attempt to commit first degree robbery in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-49 (a) (2)2 and 53a-134 (a) (4).
