On January 10, 1984, Robert Bethany, an employee of Gincon Corporation, operating a pickup truck owned by his employer, struck the rear of plaintiff's Volvo several times before the Volvo left the roadway, mounted an embankment, rolled over and came to rest in the middle of the Schuylkill Expressway in Philadelphia. Plaintiff brought suit against Bethany for negligence and against his employer on a theory of negligent supervision...
