On 24 October 1984, Catherine Hedrick (Bowling) was granted an absolute divorce from her husband, Marvin A. Hedrick, Jr. Pursuant to that order, the mother was granted custody of the two minor children, Heather and Lauren. Catherine Hedrick later married Richard Bowling. In April, 1986, Marvin A. Hedrick, Jr. signed a consent to adoption giving up his right to the children. On 22 May 1986, Richard Bowling petitioned the court in a special proceeding...
