After a trial to a jury, the defendant, Angelo Dukes, was convicted of the crimes of possessing narcotics with intent to sell in violation of General Statutes § 21a-277 (a)1 and possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle in violation of General Statutes § 29-38.2 He received a total effective sentence of ten years to be suspended after seven years with three years probation.
