Following a bench trial, defendant Jeffrey Gurga was found guilty of murder, attempted murder and home invasion. The trial court sentenced defendant to concurrent terms of 40 years for murder, 30 years for attempted murder and 20 years for home invasion. On appeal, this court held that the trial court's judgment of "guilty" was contrary to the manifest weight of the evidence...
