This debt collection action was brought by the United States against a veteran, Barry L. Vonderau, to recover the amount paid by the Government on a guaranteed manufactured housing loan that went into default. The district court instructed the jury that estoppel might lie against the Government in this case on Vonderau's argument that the Government was estopped from collecting on the indebtedness because a Veteran's Administration (VA) employee...
