This appeal arises from a civil action brought by the United States against certain Alabama mobile home contractors seeking recovery for proceeds unlawfully obtained through falsified invoices. Following a jury verdict, the district court entered its order awarding the government a total of $1,267,800 in damages and $24,000 in statutory penalties.
