Eugene Louis Leckliter, Jr., the appellant, was involved in an altercation with one David Wilson in the latter's estranged wife's apartment. There was evidence from which a jury could find that Wilson had been severely beaten with a "billy club." After a three day trial, interrupted by a weekend and Memorial Day Holiday, a Prince George's County jury convicted appellant of assault with intent to disable and carrying a deadly weapon.
