CARRIGAN, District Judge.

This matter is before the court on the defendant's motion to suppress evidence on which an evidentiary hearing was held on June 3, 1988. Testifying on behalf of the government were United States postal inspectors Lee Morris and Thomas A. Rebottaro. Defendant did not testify; nor did any witness testify on his behalf. The parties have briefed the issues.
