On February 12, 1988, plaintiff filed suit alleging that he was terminated due to his age in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 621-634, and that he was denied his proper benefits under the Employees' Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001-1381.
