Earl Dean Bond was a middleman between a supplier of marijuana in New Orleans and a distribution network in southern Illinois and Missouri. During part of the time involved in the charge, Bond purchased the drugs and resold them; later, when he became uncomfortably "hot", he took a commission, while Conrad Ingold, the supplier in New Orleans, sold directly to the distributors.
