This is an appeal from the superior court's denial of the plaintiff's petition for habeas corpus. The plaintiff, Robert E. Stewart, was convicted in 1974 following a jury trial on two counts of attempted murder of two police officers in 1973 and was sentenced to concurrent extended terms of imprisonment at the New Hampshire State Prison. The plaintiff appealed his conviction on the grounds of pretrial publicity and the admissibility of polygraph evidence...
