The defendant, Troy Bret Duplissey, was charged by bill of information with one count of distribution of marijuana, LSA-R. S. 40:966. Duplissey was found guilty of attempted distribution of marijuana by a jury of twelve. He was sentenced to three years at hard labor, plus a fine of $500 and costs, or 100 days in default. The execution of the hard labor sentence was suspended and Duplissey was placed on five years supervised probation, subject to certain...
