On December 23, 1983, plaintiff, Jonathan Williams (hereafter Williams), filed this suit against defendant, Lafayette Parish School Board, seeking reinstatement as a tenured teacher. In the alternative, he sought reinstatement as a probationary teacher. In the further alternative, he alleged his entitlement to continuous employment with the Lafayette Parish school system pursuant to an alleged verbal agreement, or damages for breach of said agreement...
