The United Steelworkers of America, AFL-CIO-CLC and Local Union 15271 (collectively "the union") brought an action in the district court pursuant to 29 U.S.C. § 185 to enforce an arbitration award. The district court granted judgment in the union's favor and enforced an order by the arbitrator awarding the grievant, Carmine DiSandro, sickness and accident benefits ("S & A benefits").
