Defendant appeals from a conviction by jury of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute for value, a second degree felony, in violation of Utah Code Ann. § 58-37-8(1)(a)(ii) (1986).1 Defendant seeks reversal of his conviction or, in the alternative, a new trial.
