In 1987 Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, joined by the City of Farmers Branch, Texas as intervenor, sued several parties in state court to recover delinquent ad valorem taxes owed on a piece of property located in Farmers Branch. The plaintiffs amended their petition to include as a defendant the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC) as receiver for First Savings and Loan Association of Burkburnett, Texas...
