Defendant, Clinton Richardson, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966(A)(2), and possession with intent to distribute a schedule IV substance, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:969(A)(2). On the charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, the jury convicted defendant by a vote of 11 to 1; on the remaining charge, the jury convicted defendant by a vote of 10 to 2.
