The plaintiffs, The Board of Trustees, (a/k/a Directors) for the First Union Baptist Church of Alexandria filed this suit seeking a preliminary injunction to enjoin the defendant, Freddie Banks, from continuing to act as pastor, employee or representative of the First Union Baptist Church of Alexandria. The petition alleged that the defendant had been relieved of his duties as pastor as of February 8, 1987. A temporary restraining order was signed...
