On April 18, 1985, appellant, George R. Hodges, was indicted by a Calcasieu Parish Grand Jury for knowingly and intentionally possessing methamphetamine, a schedule II stimulant, with the intent to distribute the controlled dangerous substance, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967(A)(1). Also indicted at the same time were appellant's wife, father, and an acquaintance.
