This case arose out of an automobile accident which occurred on November 19, 1984 at the intersection of Fannin and Edwards Street in Shreveport. Plaintiff Shackelford was driving a vehicle owned by the Post Office, and was acting within the course and scope of his duties as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service at the time of the accident.
