Plaintiff, Donald Kimble, filed suit against the defendant, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (Wal-Mart) seeking damages for injuries he sustained when he tripped and fell in a Wal-Mart Store in Lafayette. Plaintiff's wife, Sheila Kimble, also sought damages for loss of consortium. After trial on the merits, the trial court found in favor of the plaintiffs.
